A day behind on our US and Aussie friends we finally received Halo 3 in europe! This morning I was the first at my local store to grab my Limited Edition copy. Sadly the disc had come loose in the tin, something many people complain about. It seems as if one of 2 things has happened; the equipment that should put it in properly failed, or the packaging is screwed… if you push the dvd back in the case, it seems to have a good fit though… luckily my disc is not badly scratched, so hopefully there will not be any issue.
The packaging is quite nice… a black tin with the halo 3 logo, wrapped in a plastic sheet with all the marketing bla bla. It contians a little black book with some art and background text as well as an extra’s dvd which contains the AV calibration program.
I first played a level without calibrating my screen, then I went through the very funny calibration tool to see the difference. Even though I only needed to make minor adjustments, it is something you see quite clearly.
The extra’s dvd also contains some free themes and gamer pictures, which I graciously already utilized for my gamercard
I have not watched the videos on the extras dvd yet, since they warn of plot spoilers…. so first the single player campaign is up then on to the multiplayer universe ;)… perhaps Logic will be persuaded to also buy a copy so we can co-op through the single player one of these days…
